The Eastern Mediterranean & Balkan Music Ensemble opens its doors to musicians of all instruments who love the music of the East and the Balkans.
In the ensemble, we emphasize contemporary compositions of these traditions, works that creatively converse with traditional idioms.
Through the repertoire, we study modes (makam), rhythmic motifs and improvisation (taksim), giving space to personal expression and collective listening.
