Lyre and Santouri, a balance lost in time

On Wednesday, May 28th at the Thyrathen Museum at 9 pm

The Cretan Lyra and the Santouri create a completely different musical approach that was almost lost with the passage of time and local development..

Old recordings from the beginning of the century testify to this marriage (Koufianos Kanteris, Charilaos, etc.).

Antonis Fragkakis (Lyra) and Fanis Karousos (Santouri) will be with us to revive this old sound.

With respect to tradition, references to old tunes from all over Crete but also new compositions that carry the Cretan idiom, will travel and accompany us musically, in our city's favorite museum!
