The Museum of Traditional Music, Instruments, Research & Documentation "THYRATHEN" would like to express its gratitude to Mr. Dimitris Vourliotis and Ms. Menia Mathioudaki for the donation of an authentic Knauss - Koblenz piano, which will enrich our museum's collection, and will also highlight its cultural and aesthetic value through the educational purposes of the Museum.
This piano is a representative example of early 20th century German instrument making, it is in very good condition for its age, with preserved decorative elements, as well as the fact that the Knauss Koblenz company no longer exists, which increases the historical importance of this particular instrument.
