Lyrics that smelled of the sea, rhythms and melodies that bring nostalgia, love and wandering to life.

Nikos Kavvadias, with a background in nautical life, transformed the experience of the sea into poetic language. The ship is not only a geographical reality but also a metaphor for the soul, foreignness, flight, and the promised return. His poetry has been loved and set to music many times, and is inscribed in the Greek literary tradition as a voice that combines descriptiveness, melancholy and romantic mood.

Giorgos Koutsikas (Guitar - Vocals) and Eleni Kotouglou (Flute) present us with a musical-poetic tribute to Nikos Kavvadias on Wednesday, November 5th at 8:30 PM in the beautiful space of the "Thyrathen" Museum.
